LOL

[ ]   —   11:43 pm

SO Vandermeer calls tonight, asking my opinion on home theater stuff and rear channel speakers, I responded that the 8in in ceiling speakers may be too big for a rear channel. I actually said to him, “While size is important, you dont really want something like that in your back end.”

Interesting

[ ]   —   10:16 pm

So Vanberge was telling me tonight about a website that just has a wallpaper of Capt. Jean Luc Picard, witha song looping in the background. He later sent me the llink to the site, I fell it necessary to forward it on to y’all Picard Song.

So it has been a mix of emotions lately. Apparently I have applied for a job with Pfizer doing that contract work of AV systems. I had my interview with Spectrum Health, which apparently I will not be getting. Congrats to you Wesley you are the man. I stopped down at CHS yesterday to talk to Vicki, apparently she was fired so that didnt work out so well. I did get the opportunity to say adios to one of the ladies that I frequently talked to. Tonight I was not thrilled at all to go to this AmEx presentation, I believe that is not what I am meant to be doing. But at least they are giving me the maximum hours at USF for being part time, and my shift looks like it will actually be …….. Thurs second shift, and saturday sunday 1st shift. Which in theory leave my weekends wide open, weekends being sunday afternoon through thursday afternoon. This may prove interesting.

Apparenlty tonight had shades of the Chandler Plaza Hotel going on down at the Amway Grang Plaza. There was a chemical leak and mixing which produced deadly fumes and was the cause of evacuation of 2 or 3 floors of the building. Unfortunately, noone started bleeding from the mouth and nose. And GV’s “former” QB pled guilty to breaking and entering and the abuse charges. He is the first to actually plead guilty. So much for him leading the team to another championship. But the way things work out, he will probably end up playing and slipping, somehow, through the cracks.

Another job being outsourced - porn star

[ ]   —   6:51 pm

I guess with all the outsourcing that our country is doing, it is no surprise that new and unexpected industries are adding to the lists of jobs moving out of this country. I would not have really expected this one either, porn star, But why not. I guess it is all par for the course. Its nice to see that everybody need to fear for their jobs moving overseas, not just the computer and other technical and manufacturing areas. Deep thoughts.

Wp-Grins

[ ]   —   8:50 pm

As many of you have noticed, I have also implemented a WordPress plugin. These Smiley faces are amusing, but have much different key combinations to call the emoticons. I am tempted to attempt to add some of the more common smiles from AIM, like the Kissy and Yelling faces. I wish that the  face was available in AIM though.

So Many Directions

[ ]   —   8:46 pm

So after months and months of no hits about working. I am finally being contacted  by people who have come across my resume on Monster.com. So that is awesome. Yesterday was my final Monday at GVSU and to be perfectly honest, it is quite the bittersweet feeling. I will miss so many of the people there, but it is time to move on. I am so glad to have been able to move away from the Weze and JFK. Other than that I will miss the consultants and the sexy front desk girls, to be honest I will miss all the girls on the GVSU campus.

My second day of training was quite boring, Todd went over many of the things that we covered last week and I got to watch him work and follow up and close tickets, something that I wouldn’t necessarily have to do with my off work hours. I was issued a keyfob today to be able to know h ow they work and do the remote access thing. I really don’t much see the need to have one, but oh well. I did get to talk to Bamm at the end of the day, so that was cool.

On the way out to dinner with Abby, I found a real A-hole  on the road. He followed me for a while whipping around the country roads into Allendale. At one point he threw something at my car when I was stopped a stop sign. He hit the back end, some people road rage pretty fucking good, I hope he gets into an accident and dies in a large firey blaze, slowly and painfully burning to death. I slowed down and got behind him eventually, he slammed the brakes, I passed and finally blew him away. Then on to dinner, and afterwards to Meijer to get some supplies I needed: Wood Glue, Wax Paper, and Sandpaper. I hope to get to work on the Wright Flyer stick and tissue model, I am excited about that, I just need to find where to get some dope now, there is that Amazing lack of Hobby Shops in the Area.

Today I recieved 2 calls while “training” at USF. I ignored the first and I got a voicemail, I almost wish I had taken the call. It was regarding a job opening for a 1 year contract out of Lansing. I need to find out more about that particular opportunity. Sounds interesting. I took the second call, hoping that the unknown area code was a call from a place I applied in Denver. No it was a staffing agency looking for Helpdesk Support, specifically AV support to pfeizer down in K-zoo. I will need to get some more details about that one, specifically the pay. I applied for that job that should be coming open at BestBuy as well. I do really feel bad to take another job after basically just getting trained at USF and then jumping ship, for something else. Granted neither of these other jobs would be great as they would not be permanent full time positions. But at least they would be full 40 hour weeks. And that would at least pay the bills. I don’t know what I would do for a domicile if I were to work out that way. I know KT wanted me to come move out by her in Lansing, but who knows. :???:

On the plus side, this is the first April 27th I remember having snow fall, so that was cool. I need to prep for 24 now, BRB. And thanks for all the comments, I am amused at the # of people that are reading the site.

Another chapter closed

[ ]   —   10:33 pm

Thursday evening was an enjoyable time, there was a quick stop to Kahunaville to visit with Cassie and those people. Then the trip out to the downtown area to play with Abby and her bro. That was a relaxed good time at J Gardellas. Not to busy, there was an annoying bitch that kept stomping, Rusty showed up, so that was cool too. We hung out there and had some brews and as we left, Abby’s other people showed up and I guess they headed over to Taps. At least I know where to find the Black Rose now.

Friday was a rather bland day as far as University work went. I got to enter 64 HEAT tickets, and closed all of them they were just to track copyright infringement cases. After that boredom, I talked to a few people, and headed downtown for lunch. Adobe was delicious and we met up with Abby, Jason and Wendy. After lunchy we headed down to CHS to reload 2 computers,m to the SS office to get a new social security card. I at least was able to apply for the new card. It should arrive in 2 weeks or so. I headed back to the dale and proceeded to do next to nothing with the rest of the day. Some chatting and work with gallery.

After work I was able to stop at Besybuy and chat with Dave over there. Apparently there will be some openings over there, I will have to apply, he gave me his name to put on as a employee reference. He said I should work there, and he would split the hiring bonus with me if I got in. Then I napped until i got a call telling me when I was getting picked up to go to the bar. We then went out and had a nice calm evening out at Mulligans and were over to Yesterdog by midnight. That was a nice change of pace.

Saturday was a great fun day. Woke up and went downtown to VanAndel for the GVSU commencement. The ceremony was only like 3 hours or so that wasn’t terrible, I took some pictures and those are posted on the web. I got to stop by Tyler’s place and say hi to him and his family, then for some food with Abby and her family. Papa Vino’s was delicious as was desert at Cold Stone. I was so unbelievably full that I only needed to eat that for the weekend. Mulligans for post commencement drinks was enjoyable, as was the typical to yesterdog. Seeing everybody get trashed was amused. Even Kathryn getting drunk and falling in the street, see picture of her soiled shirt.

Todya was spent mostly in bed, had breakfast/dinner with Cassie at Bob Evans, otherwise I have just been chilling and watching TV, catching up with the rest of the news abotu the draft. This was one of the more enjoyable weekend that I have had in a while. I think this is sufficiently long enough now.

Happy Birthday Cassie

I figured this required a second post, it wasn’t fitting to just throw it in the last post.
