A Hazy Morning

[ ]   —   8:00 am

Surprisingly enough as this may be for some people, I am not referring to being drunk or hungover this morning. After about 2.5 hours of sleep, one would think that I would be all falling over myself to fall asleep, but I am fairly not tired. It is this wonderful weather that we get here in West Michigan. I really do enjoy many things about living here, but the generally nondescript weather patterns that seem to hang on entirely too long get on my nerves from time to time. I was in a mood to update last night when I came home from the bar, but alas I could not as the-bob was still down. I will have to talk to Chris and see what the deal was with the downtime, for all I know it was something to do with the weather, but I do not know.

Last night was a good time out at the bar, a nice change of pace. It was a trip back to the Black Rose, and I rather like the place. The music was not as authentically Irish like last time, but it was some decent music, and some really hot girls playing/singing in the group. I had some Irish Potato skins, which were absolutely loaded with goodies and came with a red pepper ranch dipping sauce. Wow that was amazing, went so well with the Black and Tan. Our server, while not the most attractive, was good and didnt mind our constant harassment for more beverages, she got a pretty good tip from our group, then again we all usually tip well. Last night was epic, just due to the crowd that was in attendance. FullJeff and CJ were there, both not a usual part of the bar crowd, but nice to have there. CJ didn’t really talk much, but what does a guy with a Masters in IS have to talk to us lowly bar-rats about. Jeff seemed mildy amused with us, it was nice to see that he was able to brave the horrid weather to come out and hang out with us. And scary as it is we talked about movies and computer per usual, and it was a good time. The evening was capped off with just some sitting around, watching the band finish up for the evening, chatting with Rusty, watching Flo hit on two women in their mid 30s, and a nice drive home. We even got to see someone get pulled over in front of us on the way back.

I went shopping on Thursday night after the bar and picked up some veggies. I know that seems highly irregular as well, but fear not, I bought some corned beef, nutty bars and beer, so it wasn’t all healthy. But The salad and carrots ought to be a good snack for me rather than everything unhealthy. I guess I should my part to try to slowly improve my life.

Today I apparently talked to a woman on the phone for a half hour, and eventually we nailed down that it was not an AS4o0 issue, rather the Citrix environment of a user was kinda hosed up and he was not able to gain access to the correct AS400 sessions, nor anything really. And when I put in the ticket, I should have payed closer attention to the fact that it automatically changed to a P2 ticket, when she said it was not all that high a priority issue, and it should be alright to workwith on Monday. Whoops. I am just glad that the person that it paged out to was already up and doing things.
