Apparently it is March
Well so went Feb. This new month has brought some interesting things to light. To start things off, I have been getting exhausted due to physical labor, which I am sure had brought enough strain on my puny little body and resistances to physical ailments.
I will just have to say that it was a good week. I had fun which is the first time in a while that its gone like that and I’ve actually been amused all week. I got to help Tod out as always working with stuff for Practical Innovations and Two-Eagles. Product lines grow on one side, and we hope for increased sales along both businesses. Computers Anonymous has been reselling items that people are requesting. I suppose If ebaying for people is a way to make some money, I can’t complain.
There was a farewell to Grasshoppah over at Founder’s Brewing Company. Unfortunately the Bamm clan did take off early and I wasn’t quite ready to go so I stuck around. I suppose I look pathetic enough, Mo brought me a free beer and I was ever persuaded to get up and do a little dancing, which as many of you would know isn’t me. But it was a good time, met a nice girl from Crete, Illinois which is just a bit crazy since Tim just moved out there a little while back. Thursday brought some good times out with the guys at B-dubs on Alpine. There was an uncharacteristic appearance of Rusty out there as well as some good conversation with Philabuster and dotorg. Darrin apparently had too much to drink and decided he would rather wear some of his beer home. Sadly that was on his first beverage out there.
With a lack of activity on Friday night, I was able to hang out with Tod on Saturday and work with him on some design and modification on some PineWood cars. All in all I would have liked to have had more time to get the design right and thus have enough time to get the cars painted properly for the race. Though I guess there isn’t the same interest in the project that my brother and I took as young lads working with our father on the projects. The layers upon layers of paints using Testor’s Model master paints, which was damn near as expensive as doing drugs, $3.50 per half ounce these days. Post working on the cars and dinner, I headed to see cornmeal perform over at Founders. I will say that they did put on quite a show, one of the few times I have ever heard Shady Grove played live. Unfortunately or maybe not, Darrin was not able to attend with me, so I watched the show and what is wrong with me, I talked to various people and ended up closing the place down talking to an attractive lady. Unfortunately I had tied on a few too many, and it made for a rough end to the weekend. Though I did get the name recognition over at Founder’s when I arrived on Sunday and there was a pint waiting for me by the time I got up to the bar, I didn’t realize that he was paying that close attention Tues or Sat. 80s night was nothing major to speak of, just some time in line.
It was a good time and I hope that things continue. for now I must be off to attempt the healing process on my body. sigh ……
