Success

So without a whole lot of detail, life has been fun lately. A bit of drama here and there but overall fairly amusing. I can see that there is a general lack of interest in my life and musings due to the lack of traffic I have been recieving lately. I suppose that is more probably due to the fact that I have become very lax lately in my updating. Though even though I am seeing traffic, I am not seeing anything remotely looking like comments lately, which just causes a general lack of desire to update. It’s the whole chicken and the egg thing, kind of …. in a sense I suppose.

Well the weekend of the 4th of July was amusing. Lauren and I headed down to the southern tip of the lake to play with Jason and Nicolette, where we attended “The Taste” and saw Santana play. This was followed by some brews on Goose Island. It was definately an expereice I will have to remember more in depth as time goes by, never go to such a place again, and I mean the taste. Too many slow ignorant stupid fat and lazy people just trying to obtain their favorite food, many of which are the foods that some of these people get in their own neighborhood, like Harold’s Fried Chicken. After trying to be nice, leading through the crowd with my elbow seemed to be the best way to get anywhere.

The celebration of my brother’s 26th birthday was fun, beer, cigars and fireworks, what more did we need. both our display and the display at the park were an enjoyable time. Unfortunately, due to the defective sofabed, I was forced to sleep on a Lay-Z-Boy, which was the most uncomfortable time i have slept in a while. The following day went much longer than expected, with some Deep Dish Pizza’s followed by a ballgame, which was affected by a rain delay, but all in all it was an enjoyable time, albeit a late night. It did casue a temporary delay in our plans to arrive back home on Monday night, but I am sure that was all for the best anyhow. I attempted to catch up on sleep the following week, and that was just a bit more screwy to the system. all of this was culminated in the LATE ride, after my cousin’s bachelor party, after working on a broken Murdock at camp, after drivig to O’Hare to pickup some equipment after driving in from Michigan. When all was said and done, 24 hours of being awake followed by a four hour nap was good enough to get me through the rest of the weekend and finally back home out and around. Unfortuantely I am on my 3rd tank of gas in as many days, so I think I really should start biking in to work.

The LATE ride went very well, even with a group of 7 riders, we managed to stay in somewhat of a group and had a good time chatting riding and well just enjoying the city. I had some good talks with people and I miss hanging out with Todd, and of course the dutch kids were fun. I’m just glad Jason didnt end up getting wooden riding shoes. I was looking all spiffed out for the ride, my SIDI shoes, Nike Socks, Biking shorts, Founders Jersey and a helmet. If that isn’t sexy, I don’t know what is really. Hopefully I will get a photo of that from Todd. Yesterday was capped off with another beautiful sunset with Lauren up in Grand Haven. I’m still trying to figure out which looked better, her or the sunset, but I am leaning towards the former. With any luck I will get off my ass and post some photos this week, since I have been accumulating them for a bit now. I think I should probably be off on my way now.
