New seasons of sporting

[ ]   —   12:28 am

As we all know, I am not much of an athlete by any stretch of the imagination. There are a few activities that I enjoy that could be classified as sports, and then some that I would just classify as sports because they are highlighted on ESPN from time to time. First off, Spring training has arrived that wonderful time of year where we get to settle back into enjoying some of America’s pasttime. I will definately be looking forward to”my” White Sox to give it another run for the trophy. With the changes they have made in the offseason it seems perfectly plausible that they have a chance to defend the crown. Secondly, we have officially kicked off the UCI Pro Tour with Paris-Nice. I know the event has just started, but it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy anyhow. I am not sure who I will back this year, I would imagine that I will be pulling for team Discovery, but I also feel that mayeb I should be pulling for an American to win some races. I know that George Hincapie has a good chance at some of the classics, hopefully he can finally get the Paris-Roubaix title, but he is not the one chosen as team leader to win the Tour. Bobby Julich or Floyd Landis might be better American horses to back this year. I would still like to see team Discovery take the tour and Yaroslav Popyvich has a good shot at it I would say. But enough about a sport most people dont care too much about, I caught some of the World Baseball Classic the other night. It wasn’t all that interesting, but there were some odd pitching styles coming from Japan, What else should I be doing at 4:30am on a Sunday morning?
